Manage your waste - for free

On-site waste management is moving up the agenda. The Code for Sustainable Homes is setting minimum requirements for waste management, for example.

CoRE East of England is holding a short tea-time meeting on Wednesday 31 January to help professionals understand the tools and technologies that are available to help with waste management.

Find out how to:

  • obtain free SMARTStart™ licenses to monitor waste and gather data on a site-by-site basis in the East of England
  • use BREMAP (online information about local waste management facilities and sources of reclaimed and recycled products)
  • have free site visits and in-depth support from programmes such as Envirowise, WRAP (Waste & Resources Action programme), and NISP (National Industrial Symbiosis Programme).

CoRE (Construction Resource Efficiency) is a project funded by the Business Resource Efficiency & Waste (BREW) programme, which recycles Landfill Tax receipts into targeted support to businesses to reduce waste.

The event is at the SmartLIFE Training & Business Centre, Cambridge Regional College, from 4-6.30 pm. For more information, contact Kellie Percival. E-mail: percivalk@bre.co.uk.
