CIBSE Patrons - Teamwork Award winners

Powerminster has won this year’s CIBSE Patrons teamwork Award, for its work on the UK’s first PFI social housing project, Grove Village. The judges said:

“Our winner has demonstrated how effective teamwork can be key to achieving results... The Grove Village project was not only completed on time and within budget, but thanks to a willingness to communicate openly and a joined up approach to working together from Powerminster and its partners, the scheme has helped to create a thriving community.

“And the teamwork doesn’t end with completion of the build programme.  Powerminster will be carrying out maintenance and repair work in residents’ homes for a 30-year contract period and the company’s success in building relationships with residents will ensure that teamwork continues to be central to Grove’ Village’s success for many years to come.  As the Chairman of the Residents’ association puts it, the partnership approach at the development is ‘the jewel in the crown’ of Grove Village.”
