Sheffield University will host student environmental movement People & Planet’s annual get-together from 16-18 November. This event features talks, workshops, debates, discussions, exhibitions, films and a massive party!
Speakers include Nazmul Islam Chowdhury, of Practical Action Bangladesh, who works directly with communities who are feeling the impact of climate change.
Debates include: Is China the world’s biggest climate change threat? Can biofuels stop climate chaos or are they making it worse? And skills workshops cover all sorts, from ‘guerrilla gardening’ to ‘your message in the media: making the most of your soundbite’.
