Change to survive, OISD conference; 15 January

The Oxford Institute for Sustainable Development (OISD) and Oxford Brookes University’s School of the Built Environment are organising a one-day conference on the theme: ‘Change to survive: Creating a 21st Century Sustainable Built Environment’.

The event will present the organisers’ latest research on corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability and climate change, and will include discussions on:

* robust metrics for measuring the carbon footprints of buildings and cities

* assessing environmental impact to create a sustainable future

* how new technologies can advance sustainable building design

* designing for an ageing population.

Keynote speakers include Dr Paul McNamara (PRUPIM) and Dr David Vincent (The Carbon Trust) plus academics from Oxford Brookes.

 

The conference and exhibition are on 15 January 2008; organisers are Prof Tim Dixon and Dr Rajat Gupta; and the event is sponsored by South East England Development Agency, SEEDA.
