The ones to watch...
If you’re looking for a career in the sustainable construction sector, or you’re already there but restless for a new challenge, then the companies who’ve been named as CIBSE’s Low Carbon Pioneers might just offer what you’re seeking.
The first annual Low Carbon Performance Awards were held last month at the Natural History Museum. The awards, which aim ‘to reward low carbon performance, not promise’ celebrated the achievements of participants in CIBSE’s 100 Days of Carbon Clean Up campaign, which involved over 700 organisations.
The event also rewarded the work of CIBSE’s register of Low Carbon Consultants: Faber Maunsell took the prize for Low Carbon New Build of the Year, and the title of Low Carbon Consultant of the Year went to registered consultant Michael Clarke. And Bill Bordass received a Low Carbon Pioneer award, for his work on energy benchmarks, case studies and post-occupancy surveys.
Winners and runners up include:

Faber Maunsell
