The AECB (the sustainable building association) is focusing on ‘low carbon’ homes at its conference this year (13-14 June), and has invited Dr Berthold Kaufmann from the Passivhaus Institute in Germany to be the keynote speaker as well as running workshops outlining the key aspects of Passivhaus design.
The conference will also feature workshops based on the AECB’s CarbonLite Programme and two CPD CarbonLite training modules on the day before the conference starts (12 June).
The conference is being held at the University of East Anglia - offering delegates the chance to look around some of the campus’s award-winning buildings including the Elizabeth Fry Building - an excellent example of low carbon design. There will also be opportunities for delegates to exhibit/ display examples of their own work in relation to sustainable building.
