Inbuilt Consulting is a new type of design and sustainability consultancy specialising in delivering genuinely sustainable built environments. You will undertake engineering design of low and zero carbon systems, or advise on improving technical and behavioural management in the built environment. Opportunities include:

Lead Building Services Consultant

Bored by designing conventional building services? Do you solve problems by not thinking in the way that created the problem? Inbuilt Consulting needs a Lead Building Services Consultant who takes a whole-system approach that goes beyond building services, to deliver genuinely sustainable buildings and projects. You have a comprehensive knowledge of the engineering design of low and zero carbon non-domestic buildings. With a degree in engineering or environmental science, you will be chartered, are likely to be a CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant and are experienced in taking the technical design lead in large scale projects.

Post Occupancy/Post Construction Specialist

Do you have a passion for evaluating building performance and making buildings more healthy, productive and efficient? Inbuilt Consulting needs a Post Occupancy/Post Construction Specialist who possesses a detailed understanding of how buildings operate and how people respond to their environments. This will include post construction/occupancy reviews; utility consumption reviews; energy and plant management and carbon footprinting. You will be degree educated and will have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Other Consultancy roles

Applicants are needed who are fully conversant with UK sustainable buildings policy issues, drivers and opportunities. You will have a good understanding of one or more of the following: building physics, building services, building modelling, building energy and carbon emissions and have a keen appreciation of whole-building energy and design issues. You have the ability to develop engineering design specifications to meet client sustainability and low carbon energy requirements.
