Planning and sustainability at Kingston

Kingston University’s new MA in Planning and Sustainability has recently been accredited by both the RTPI (Royal Town Planning Institute) and RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).

The course, launched in 2006-07, is designed to appeal to students who are already working in a professional capacity in the planning, property development, surveying or consultancy fields. It integrates theory and practice of town and country planning with the growing necessity for urban and rural developments to meet sustainability criteria.

It is one of several courses that have arisen from Kingson’s innovative work within C-SCAIPE, the Centre for Sustainable Communities Achieved through Integrated Professional Education, which is finding ways to integrating teaching between students of different disciplines within the built environment sector.
