New-look social networking for design students

Autodesk has redesigned its Student Engineering and Design Community to bring it in line with the latest in social networking sites.

The website, which is used by some 350,000 students and tutors, is user friendly and accessible. Features include social networking, profile sharing, blogging and news feeds, plus an internationally focussed ‘Career Center’, Community TV, and software downloads.

One of the great features is the wealth of examples of work from around the world. For example, Andrew Southwood-Jones, of Narrabundah College, Australia describes how his design for sustainable student accommodation won him First Place in Autodesk’s Student Design Challenge.
