Graduate School of the Environment; Centre for Alternative Technology

The Graduate School of the Environment offers a range of inspirational post-graduate programmes. A unique combination of leading professionals, academics and authors create innovative solutions at Europe’s leading environmental centre.

All programmes offer the opportunity to gain advanced knowledge of the built environment sector, allowing either career development within the sector or facilitating a career change. In addition, our student and staff body create a diverse and experienced academic community. 

The Graduate School is a recognised RIBA CPD provider and its courses are accredited by the Energy Institute and the University of East London. 

Onsite courses take place at Europe’s leading eco centre, run as 5-day residential modules; while the distance learning courses use a highly interactive, modern virtual learning environment. 

GSE offers four full post graduate programs as well as a number of continuing professional development (CPD) options:

* MSc Architecture: Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies

* MSc Architecture: Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies by Distance Learning

* MSc Renewable Energy and the Built Environment

* Professional Diploma in Architecture: Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies
