The Devon Sustainable Building Initiative (DSBI) (a not-for-profit organisation that promotes and enables sustainable building in Devon and beyond) has organised a one-day conference on low- and zero-carbon buildings, supported by the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC), the SW Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) and local authorities in the South West.
The conference, at The Watershed, Bristol on 9 February, will feature case studies of a number of completed or nearly completed low- and zero-carbon projects, focusing on the specific measures taken and the impact these had on the construction process.
Speakers include Paul King, Chief Executive of the UKGBC, architect Bill Dunster, Ben Cook from Barratt Homes, Gareth Davies, of architects Stride Treglown, and Vic Ebdon from Devon County Council, who is a member of the Schools’ Zero Carbon Taskforce.
