PhD Studentship; apply by 15 March

The Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development (IESD), based in Leicester, is inviting applications for a full-time PhD studentship on the theme of ‘Optimisation Methods for Integrated Building Design’. The successful applicant will join an research project entitled ‘Advance DesignBuilder + Optimisation (ADOPT)’, funded by the Technology Strategy Board, and will benefit from collaborations between industrial and academic partners, including DesignBuilder Software Ltd, Zero Energy Design Ltd and the IESD.

This three-year research project aims to develop a state-of-the-art online optimisation tool for low- or zero-carbon design of buildings.
